This news story comes from Raleigh, North Carolina, the city where I lived last year. It seems that social networking sites, like Facebook and Tuenti are starting to be used as a way to get better idea of what potential applicants are like. In the article it shows how universities are starting to check on people this way, but I have also heard of employers checking Facebook to get to know potential candidates. When you are filling out an application it is very easy to put your best foot forward, or make yourself look good, even if you aren't exactly what you say you are. But now it is easy to check the facts by simply searching one of these social networking sites. Personally, I don't think that this is a bad thing. If you are doing something on Facebook that shows bad character, you will probably continue to show bad character on the job or at a university. What do you think? Is it ok for employers to look at your Facebook page when considering you for a job?

I think that it's ok for employers to look at our Facebook page, because a lot of people lie when they go to get a job and, in any case, on your facebook page you show what you want.
ResponderEliminarI think that it is a bad way to sign up people for a any job, because on Facebook we lie and in real life is more difficult lie. but Facebook is a good way for contact with your friends althought it isn't private.

ResponderEliminarNowadays there are a lot of social nets and blogs. I think that social nets are overvalued, people uses it like a "public diary" and post there without thinking on the consecuences. I think that there's to much information in facebook but if it helps employers to check their potencial an get a job, it's OK!

I think that use the social nets in the place of work is good to know yourself, although sometimes the persons lie, however in my opinion it is not completely reliable.on the other hand, I think that employers can´t watch your facebook or tuenti because it is your privacy.

In my opinion Tuenti or Facebook is a way to express opinions, feeling a other things and in no circumstance look the employers lives because is in crime by the bosses!!!

We don't agree with this because it isn't the same as you behave in your work that how you behave with your friends and they don't trust that they see in facebook either.
