This day in age with almost 7,000,000,000 people on the planet, we use a lot of resources and make a lot of waste. It is not uncommon to hear of a campaign to clean up a certain area or save a certain species. In many of the classes this year, we've talked about the ways that we can contribute to keeping this earth livable for the next generation. In English the three words to remember are the three R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
By reducing the amount of resources that we consume we leave more for the future. We can also try to reduce the amount of waste that is left behind, making sure that we only prepare enough food for what we need, instead of having leftovers that will only be thrown away.
By reusing we also reduce the waste that goes into landfills. Instead of throwing away your water bottle to get another, try refilling it, for example.
Finally, recycling programs allow us to reduce this waste as well, by melting down plastics and glass so that they can be remade into new products.
Recently there was a global black-out sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature to try and reduce the amount of electricity used. Many cities all over the world participated and for one hour on this specific day they turned off the lights in the public areas of the city. Read about this event here.

we think that it is important to try persuade people to care about the earth and in Spain trere is a event like this where people turn off the lights no we never participate in an event like this you can reuse the bottles of plastic and things like this

I believe that recycling is very important, and if some of us recycle, in the future there will be less enviorement problems. In my house , we recycle some things like paper.

Idk, I think I could recycle the rubbish at home, and I don't have a car or a motorbike but a bike, so I'm not harming the enviorement =D

I can recycle throwing the trush in specials containers ,reuse using recycle paper and we reduce controling the wasting of water.
We think that it is good that people cooperate to care for the world where we live, but if we turn off the light one hour, we won't solve nothing. In Spain we do this too but it would be better to recycle everyday.

We tkink that it is a good form to arouse people of the problems that happen in the environment. Fortunately in Spain this type of events are common beside being necessary. We usually participe in these events because is very important for environment.

ResponderEliminarI think that this is one of the most important problems all around the world. The tree R's are not only said to preserve the planet, but it is said to save a lot of money and do not waste anything.
On the other hand, there are another problems like that. it is the named Climate Shift and the destruction of the Ozone Layer, which i believe that are more important that recycling and reusing.
In Spain there are some events like that, called Planet's Hour but it is more popular in the UK.
I think that this event is important to protect the planet but however I have never participated in this type of events. In Spain a few weeks ago also suggested the same event to turn off lights.Recycling is very important and we should reclic all although it is difficult.
